The Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering aims to ensure specialized training that allows the exercise of the profession, developing skills to accept responsibilities to understand, design and implement engineering solutions, as well as to develop the learning of methods for solving complex and diverse problems.
The Topographic Engineering course provides solid training in the different areas of geographic sciences, allowing for comprehensive professional opportunities and an easy adaptation to the demands of the job market. At the end of the training process, the graduate can integrate multidisciplinary teams to develop projects in the areas of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), multifunctional cadastre, hydraulics, planning and land use planning, among others.

Graduates in Equipment Design can design products and equipment, defining the style, shape, dimensions, colours, and general appearance, having the competence to base their action on studies on functional requirements, materials, manufacturing processes and techniques, cost limitations and potential consumer preferences.
They are proficient in virtual modelling tools in 2D and 3D (modelling environments and equipment), rendering, PowerPoint and digital photography.
They have technical skills to create innovative solutions and the ability to design projects according to their creativity and respect for rules and regulations and with concerns for society, art, the environment, and technology.

Graduates in Medical Biotechnology have skills in the fields of biotechnology and medicinal chemistry for the development of new products, with the ability to apply knowledge of biology, chemistry and biomedicine in solving problems in different áreas of health.
This course empowers the students with a solid scientific, technical, human and cultural training that enables them to provide and manage general nursing care at the three levels of health prevention, centred on the person throughout the life cycle, on the family, on groups and communities. Taking part in the management of health services, units, or establishments, in the training of nurses and other health professionals and using the results of scientific research in health and nursing, in particular.
The aim of this course is to qualify graduates in Pharmacy with scientific, technical, cultural and human skills, supported by an ethical conscience that promotes respect for the human individual, based on the latest scientific research and the development of excellence.

The degree in Sports, Fitness and Health aims to provide solid training in exercise aimed at promoting health in apparently healthy populations or with certain special or clinical conditions. My name is Laura, I’m 18 years old and I came from the Algarve, from Portimão. I’m in the Equipment Design course, here in Guarda. Why Guarda? It was mostly because of the course. I have always had a great passion for the Arts, hence Design. The city of Guarda, despite being cold, compared to the Algarve, has the most appealing course. Expectations are good: I hope to finish the course and stay within the area, in this country or another.
