WHAT IS DESPORTO UNIVERSITÁRIO?

Politécnico da Guarda is part of the Academic Federation of University Sports (FADU), a Sports Federation that focuses on sport as a tool in training and education.

As a multi-sport Federation, with the mission of organizing university sport in all its dimensions — sporting, educational and social — it aims to promote competition, socializing and exchange of students from the various Higher Education institutions inside and outside Portugal. It also intends to encourage a competitive mindset, team spirit and fair play, inducing healthy lifestyle habits in the academic community.

You can enter the Academia Politécnico da Guarda in team sports and in individual sports.

You can join the Politécnico da Guarda team in the following sports:

BASKETBALL

Where? At the Blue Pavilion (next to the student residences)

When? Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9:00 pm to 10:30 pm

FOOTBALL

Trial sessions for the team are ongoing!

Where? In Campo do Zambito (next to Politécnico)

When? Mondays at 8:30 pm

Futsal

Where? At the Blue Pavilion (next to the student residences)

When? Wednesdays, from 9:00 pm to 10:30 pm

Kickboxing

Are agility, stamina and concentration part of your attributes?

Would you like to represent Politécnico da Guarda in the National University Kickboxing Championship?
