One Space, Many Sides
At the Library of Politécnico da Guarda, you can find not only books but also a series of services, resources, and advice. Everything to make this one of your favourite places.

MAGAZINES AREA
Want to check out that North American publication you love but don’t buy? Or that expensive photo magazine? There.

INFORMAL READING ZONE
You’re not allowed to take off your shoes or lie around naked, but otherwise, you can read comfortably on the sofas here. Stress stays at the door.

READING ROOM
A classic: there are 118 seats, at tables separated by shelves, and thousands of works available.

STUDY ROOM
Peace, quiet, natural light and silence – everything that is sometimes needed to prepare for that test or exam.

PLAYROOM
This area is open to the community and in particular to trainee students of the Early Childhood Educators and 1st Cycle Teachers courses. But if you want to stretch on the floor and read a children’s book, we won’t tell anyone.

GROUP ASSIGNMENTS ROOM
An oasis where you can make some noise – and prepare presentations, works and projects with the help of existing computer equipment.

STUDY AREA
With a view to the inside garden and plenty of natural light, this is an open and spacious place, with 10 seats, great for group assignments and lively brainstorming.

AUDIOVISUAL ROOMS
Whether as a group or individually, here you will find rooms where you can watch and listen to audiovisual material – it is only necessary to book in advance and show identification on arrival.
