Located in Seia and as a polytechnic higher education institution, its mission is to train highly qualified professionals in Tourism, Hospitality and Restaurants.

With modern, well-equipped, and specialized infrastructures, the School of Tourism and Hospitality, with an environment focused on a complementary way in those areas, provides a solid training with a theoretical basis, consistent technical learning with a strong practical component, and constant focus on adapting to the needs of the job market and the realities of today’s world.

The atmosphere felt here, both cultural and social, as well as the events and experiences provided, also offer each student opportunities for growth as a human being, as well as the development of team spirit, to know what to do, how to act, and what to be.

A Tourist Accommodation Management professional plans, organizes, controls and directs the activities associated with the front office (reception and concierge), back office (reservations), housekeeping (laundry) and room service departments of the different accommodation units, assuring the quality of the service and the well-being of the guests.

Catering and Food Services

The owners of this degree master the rules of hygiene and food safety, can plan, direct and collaborate in the structuring of menus, as well as in the preparation and confection of meals. They also have the skills to coordinate and provide food & beverage service in hotels or similar establishments, and to provide catering services.

Hotel Management

A graduate in Hotel Management can manage physical, human, and financial resources, with a sense of responsibility, a spirit of service and an aptitude for leadership, as well as the ability to work individually and in groups. They also have a keen sensitivity to the hotel and restaurant business, creative capacity, innovation and acumen for entrepreneurship, new ideas and businesses.

Tourism and Hospitality Management

A bachelor in Tourism and Hospitality Management can coordinate and operate tourism activities/operations in public and private institutions; design, organize and manage specialized tourism operations; coordinate and control the various operational areas of tourism companies; management and administration of diverse companies/accommodation units.

A Tourism and Leisure graduate can collect, select, and interpret relevant knowledge, particularly in tourism, to discover the solutions he advocates and the judgments he makes, including through the analysis of relevant social, scientific, and ethical aspects. A professional in this area also has skills to communicate information, ideas, problems and solutions for public and private administration, travel agencies, tour operators, professional education and training, hotels, and other áreas of tourism.

Master’s Degree

Management and Sustainability in Tourism

This Master aims to train professional experts for tourism management at local, regional and national levels. It provides them with the ability to promote and enhance the natural and cultural heritage, develop business projects based on innovation, and interpret the best practices in tourism, applying them in the organizations in which they are integrated.
